Canary wood and maple with padouk
This is a three-laminate stock made of canary wood and maple. Accents on the palm swell, cheekpiece, and butt plate are padouk. This is a typical construction for an Altius stock and represents the strongest strength-to-weight ratio available. Although laminated stocks can be a bit heavier than a one-piece, they are much stronger and still typically fall within 0.5 lbs of the legal limit for biathlon. Cost for a stock of this type would be $850 + $75 for the premium wood (canary wood), for a total of $925.
